The boys have just gotten so be so much fun. I love their little personalities!!! They think it is so funny to put on my shoes, or wear Dereks hats. They have brought nothing but pure joy into our lives...And a little bit more work.
This is one of my favorite things that kids do...I have no idea how they can play in this position for hours. It just seems like a quad workout....Anyway I think it is cause they are our future catchers.

Little Lu Lu has become such a big girl. I have just loved so much what buddies we have always been. She will always have such a special place in her mommies heart!!!

Headed to Florida!!!

So excited!!! I am heading to Florida next weekend. I haven't gone anywhere since Kali was born....Isn't that so sad. I am really looking forward to going and supporting Derek in his first UFC event. Actually I have been so sick to my stomach I can hardly eat... which might not be a bad thing. Honestly, I am just so anxious about this huge opportunity for him, and I just want him to do so well, So anyway this is going to sound super funny, but one of my biggest concerns is the Humidity!!! I have the worlds worst curly, frizzy, out of control hair. So if anyone has any suggestions on how to "tame the mane" please let me know. As of now just planning the outfits around a hat... :) Thanks for everyones support, You have no idea how much it means to Derek and I. We love you all and wish us luck!! I will post pictures as soon as we get home to let you know how the trip went.

I am so proud of you Babe!! You have worked so hard!!

Dereks dream just came true!!!!

Okay so we just got huge news today!!! Derek got a call from his agent this afternoon asking him if he was ready to fight in the UFC....Well of course he said he was ready, he has been ready for over a year. So he is fighting on the "Ultimate fight night" on February 7 as a replacement to a fighter who got injured. This truely is his dream coming true. And on top of that he signed a 4 fight deal contract with the UFC. So it is official he is a fighter for the UFC. I am so proud of him, he has worked so hard to get to this point and I love that he is seeing all of his hard work paying off. So everyone look for him on February 7 on Spike. What an amazing day!!!!

Fun with Fruit loops

I have really been trying to be more creative with some activities to do with the girls, so I have found some fun blogs with great ideas. One of my favorites though is using fruit loops. I have a ton of boxes of fruit loops always handy and when I can tell the girls need a little something fun to do I pull them out... It is just a cheap way to do a little art project

How cute are these!!!!

I saw this darling on idea on makesandtakes.com I just thought they were the cutest things. I can't wait to make some of these with my girls

It is back.....Yahooo!!!!!

Derek and I were watching a stand-up comedian the other day. His name is Dane Cook for those who know him, anyway he said that Lost was his all time favorite show but that it can be so frustrating because every time he watches a new episode he has 45 new questions and no new answers. Is that so true????

The best booster seat

Okay so I am super excited about these new booster seats I just got. I ordered them off line from Walmart. They zip up into a little pouch and have a handle on them, they are so portable and take up almost no space. So they are perfect to take to resturants or to the movie theatre, and even on plane rides. So I wanted to share the news. Plus it is super fun to have the boys out of their high chairs so they can sit up to the table with us.

Valentine shirts

Every year I usually go and get the girls a cute Valentines shirt. This year I looked every where and I didn't love anything, except Gap had the cutest little valentine dresses but they were way more than what I wanted to spend. Anyway so I got this cute idea from a blog to make my own. So I just got some felt and cut them into hearts and sewed them onto plain white Downeast t-shirts. I think they turned out pretty cute. Plus it felt good to pull out the old sewing machine, I haven't sewn anything since the boys were born....with good reason!!

Weekend Recap

Okay so we had a fun, eventful weekend. Derek found out on Thursday night that our brother-in-law had extra tickets to the Arizona Cardinals, Philidelphia Eagles NFL football game. So of course he jumped all over that and left first thing Friday morning. He had a really fun trip!! So we had to fill the weekend with some fun cause we were going to be missing Daddy. So first off we took the kids to see Madagascar 2 on Saturday, Next we made out Valentines day cookie trains., which I used to do with my mom on Valentines day. My girls absolutley love this even they mostly just eat all the goodies.......I think that is the best part.
Okay let me start by saying that these pictures are absolutely priceless!! Parker and Lexi are the best of buddies, they actually have it all planned out that they are going to get married and Parker is going to put on his wedding clothes and Lexi needs to have on her princess dress and lipstick. We laugh like crazy at these two little clowns. But we don't want to break their little hearts and tell them that we don't marry our cousins, so we just play along. Well Parker slept over at our house on Sunday and they had a blast together!!

So little Zak was sick all weekend. I took him in to the Doctor on Sunday after he had a really hard night on Saturday, and they told me he had a double ear infection. Poor little Guy!! I just loved these pictures cause they completely explain his personality. Even though he was feeling super cruddy he still had his little smile on. He is the sweetest little boy!!

Presents from Disneyland

This last weekend my sister Corey and her husband Dave got to take there two darling boys to Disneyland. My mom and Dad tagged along and they had such a blast. So of course grandma had to bring home presents for the kids. We still haven't been able to take the kids to Disneyland yet. We were planning a trip to take the girls when we found out that we were pregnant with twins and so we had to put the trip off for awhile. We are hoping to take the kids soon cause we have heard it is the happiest place on earth.

Fun for the whole family

One of mykids favorite things to do it go to the Kangaroo Zoo. It is the perfect outting for kids of all ages. And I love it because I feel like the kids have a smile on their face the entire time we are there. It is a great way for them to run out some energy!!

Fun Snack

I got this cute idea for a snack out of Family Fun magazine. So Kali and I made them for our family home evening snack. It is a great snack to involve your kids in!! You just melt chocolate roll marshmellos in it and add sprinkles. Super simple, and really yummy!!

Every Household "Must haves"

Okay I had to do a post and share with everyone how much I love these 3 products. They are the cure all for stains of any kind. The Oxypro carpet cleaner is made by bissell and you can find it at walmart. It honestly has gotten every stain out of our light carpets. I absolutely love it. The next one is Mr. Cleans magic erasers. I have gotten marker and crayon off my walls so easily with this. It is also great in the bathroom getting off mold and lime. And I also clean out my oven with it. It pretty much rocks!!!! Everyone needs to have a few of these handy. The last one is the greatest of all, it is oxyclean detergent. I truely have gotten every little last stain out of my childrens clothes with oxyclean. Some times I will even pull out clothes that have sat in boxes for a year with a stain on them and oxyclean will get them looking brand new. So there you go...Try them and I promise you will be amazed!!!

Incentives work

One of Kali's favorite things is when I make little charts or lists for her to check off. Well I just made a new chart for the girls to help them get ready for bed, and dressed in the morning. I hung it in the girls room and showed them how it works, and of course they were all excited to have a new chart. Well that night at 4:00 in the morning Kali comes upstairs all dressed with her hair done and her teeth brushed all ready for school. So She comes into our bedroom and yells "suprise." She was so excited to wake up and do the things on her chart!! So I told her I was proud of her, and now it was time to go back to bed. It is amazing how a little chart can inspire a little 6 year old.

Lucky to have the ladies!!

I have hit a great stage in life with the girls, they have just become the best of friends. They can go downstairs and play together for hours, and I just hear tons and tons of laughing. I love that they love being together and nothing makes me happier than listening to them play together. I love the picture of Lexi in Dereks sweats. He got her all bundled up and called her the little gingerbread girl!!

So much Fun!!

Derek got this for Christmas this year, and we have had so much fun playing. On Sunday night we took it over to the Downey's to play with everyone. We had so much fun. I will post some pictures later on of all the Downey's rockin out!!

What is wrong with this picture?

Okay so when I take picture like this I think it just shows how crazy-awesome my life is. So I have to explain a little... The other night I put Lexi in the tub, which is one of her favorite things. When I do this I put the gate up in the bathroom door so the boys can't get in and I can still hear lexi. Well my sister Corey came to the door to drop some things off for me, and so I talked to her for maybe 5 minutes. When I came back upstairs I saw that the gate was taken down and this is what I saw. Of course I laughed like crazy, and then I got kinda spooked that the boys figured out how to take down the gate. They better not figure out how to get out of the crib any time soon.....Or I think my life is over.

I love Utah!!

I love living in Utah!! One of my favorite things is looking outside right after it snows, and all the trees are covered in white, and everything looks so clean and bright. I feel right at home when I look at the snow covered moutains. My girls have had such a blast this winter putting on their snow clothes and playing outside. The boys I know are really anxious to join them, because they stand by the window and watch Kali and Lexi play. It is pretty cute.

The best snack when your dieting!!!

I had to make a post about these yummy Pumpkin choolate chip cookies!! I can't tell you how many times I have been dieting a had a week moment where I needed a treat, and these have saved me. Not only are they low-fat, but they are super quick to make.

1 8 oz can of pumpkin
Blend these two ingredients together, and then add the chocolate chips. spoon drop onto a cookie sheet and bake 350 for 20 minutes.
All you out there who started a diet january 1st, here is a yummy snack!! Enjoy!!

One of my favorite things is getting together with my friends. Jessica and Sarah were in town for Christmas and so of course we had to see each other. I always love how much fun we have together we jut laugh about old, crazy times!! Good friends are hard to find and I am so glad that I have found such great ones. (We missed you Christa and Lacy :( )
This was a cute poem that my mom wrote for my baby shower that I just loved so much and it is so true.......

By now I am sure you've heard the news
That babies keep raining from heaven in twos!!!
Jen's been twice as sick, and she's twice the size,
But twice as excited with this suprise

They'll be twice the kisses and twice the snuggles,
twice the worries and twice the struggles.
Twice the diapers and bottles, and noses.
She'll be dealing with sniffles in double doses.

Twice the feedings with half the sleep
Twice the laundry piled high and deep.
Needing twice the patience to keep her cool
Through throw ups, and blowouts, and endless drool.

Twice the faces to wash and tears to dry
with twice as many reasons to cry.
Twice the laughter, and twice the noise
Twice the wrestling: that comes standard with boys!!

Twice the toys, and bats and balls.
Twice as many handprints on walls.
Twice the clutter and twice the grime
Twice the work with half the time.

Twice the "at bats" and "hits" and "runs"
Twice the "catches" and "saves" "That's my sons!"
Twice the "touchdowns", "interceptions" and "scores"
The "dunks" and "steals" as the grateful crowd roars.

Twice the glory, and twice the pride
Twice the emotion held inside.
Twice the blessing, twice the joys
That come with loving two little boys.

This couldn't be more true!!!!! I have been so crazy busy taking care of these two little angel boys. I didn't have any idea that boys could be so much fun. But I consider them a huge blessing every day. I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to raise twin boys!!!
