Summer Camp

The kids are doing a fun summer camp that they are loving!! They have different themes every day and they get to play and do art projects and sports and play in the water. It was the perfect way to end the summer. This is a picture of them on Super Hero day!!

Random new photos

I can't get enough of these tww boys, they are just such a blast. Even though they have started to get a little mischevious. I still just want to hug them all day long.
Grandma stopped by with this special suprise for the girls. My girls are obsessed with doughnuts. Every time Derek or I leave the house Lexi always says "Make sure you bring home Doughnuts." So cute!!!

One of our Sunday things we do is when we get home from church the boys are so tired and go down for a nap so the girls and I get out some fun art projects to do together.

This week they turned themselves into elephants. Googly eyes and all.

I love being a mom!!!

Our trip to Lander Wyoming

This year for the 4th of July we took a trip with my family to Lander Wyoming. My mom grew up in Lander and when we were kids we would go and visit all the time and stay with my cousins who still lived there. We always had such great memories of Lander and all the fun things we did there. Which is kind of funny cause it is a tiny town with not much to do. The first thing we did was we did a little trek into Martins Cove. It was a great experience for us and the kids. Except about half way through it I noticed that Lexi was really dragging and acting really tired, so she needed to be carried the rest of the way. Part of the trek I had Dominic on my back and I was carrying Lexi in my arms.
As you can tell by the look on her face she is feeling terrible. She resorted back to taking the babies binkis which she has been off the binki for over and year, and she had to have her blanket wrapped around her which we were worried about since it was pretty hot. Well we left early from the trip since I was nervous about how she was acting, and when I got home I took her into the doctor and he told me she had a terrible and very scary kidney infection. I will have to blog that story another time it is actually quiet amazing. Prayers were answered..... But my mom made all the girls in the family Pioneer dresses which turned out so cute on the little ones. Over all great experience except for the stress I was feeling over Lexi.

Lander also has a man in their town who puts on an amazing firework show on his property. It was the best firework show I have ever been to and the kids absolutely loved every minute of it.

Then of course there is the Lander 4th of July parade which I remember growing up that it was the best parade of all time. And after going back I still feel that way. Every float the goes by throws out candy so all the kids run in the street and grab it. They also have all the firetrucks drive through and they soak the crowd with their hoses and it is a blast!! All the kids are running in the street as the fire truck just soaks them from head to toe. And the best part is it only last for about an hour. That is my kind of parade!!! And the kids loved it. I really think that Lander is one of the funnest places to spend the 4th of July. I am still waiting on some more pictures so I will post those soon.

Pool, Pizza, Priceless.......

This fun waterslide my mom bought for the family this year and it has been such a blast. My sisters and I try to get together about once a week and set it up and let all the cousins play. I have been so amazed how many kids can play on it at one time.
What a perfect summer day swimming and then pizza. I love summer time so much, but I would be lying if I didn't say that I am sort of ready for school to start again.

Where has the time gone??

Do you ever have one of those days where you feel like life is just passing you by?? I have just been feeling lately that life is just cruisin right by me and before I know it this amazing part of being a mother with young children is going to be a memory. I feel like it was just yesterday that Derek and I decided to start a family, and look where we are now.....Kali is almost in first grade and my babies are almost 2. I just want to make sure that I cherish every moment and every phase of life that I am in. Especially since the twins have been born I have had the mentality to get through each day without any speedbumps coming our way, just to have things go smoothly. Where instead I really want to soak each moment in and not say the "I'll be happy when...." Because I am so happy right now!!! I love my crazy situation and I wouldn't change any of it for the world.

Grandma and Grandpa Great

For FHE we decided to go and see Grandma and Grandpa great. We havent seen nearly enough of them since the twins have been born, but the kids love going to their house. Grandpa built a big train last year out of his riding lawn mower and their are 4 huge water jugs he attatched to it on wheels. It really is quiet amazing!! I will have to post some pictures of it sometime. But they also have horses across the street which the kids always love feeding the horses. so the kids always have so much fun going to see them. I love the picture of the kids with Grandma they all look so miserable to have to sit in one place for a few seconds while I take a picture. It is almost impossible to get a group picture of all the kids without at least one of them trying to escape. well I guess I am just capturing the moment. But we really are lucky to have grandparents so close that we can go and see and that can be a part of our kids lives. We love you Grandma and Grandpa great!!

Cool dudes

I loved this adorable picture Delyse took with Dominic. I can't even stand how adorable the look on Dominic's face is. He loves to put on glasses and he calls them his "cool dudes"
