One of the highlights of the year is the "Downey family Christmas party."
This year we had an ugly Christmas sweater contest. 
Bodie
Okay so I have to do a post about our dog Bodie. He is amazing!! We have had 4 different dogs since Derek and I have been married, and I have to say that he is by far my favorite. He doesn't shed, he has only had 3 accidents in the house since we got him over a year ago. He is super calm, and loves to snuggle, and he cleans up my kitchen floor after meals:) Honestly I just am in love with him and he is such a great addition to our family!!
Thanksgiving in St. George
This year for Thanksgiving our whole family met at Bounce and Tara's house in St. George

The boys got BYU football pillows
One tradition that my mom has started is she gives the grand kids their Christmas presents on Thanksgiving weekend. The kids love this because they get their Christmas p.j's that grandma made so that they can wear them throughout Christmas season.
