Super yummy Santa Fe Soup

1 Large onion, chopped
2 envelopes taco seasoning mix
2 envelopes dry ranch seasoning mix
1 (14oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 (10 0z) can tomatoes with green chilis
1 (16 oz) can pinto beans
1 (16 oz) can kidney beans
1 (16 oz) can black beans
2 915 oz) cans whole kernel corn

Saute onion in taco seasoning with ranch dressing mix. Combine all other ingredients and mix well ( all cans are undrained). Simmer until heated through. serve with lime juice, cheese, sour cream, olives, avecado, and tortilla chips.

This is one of my kids favorite things to eat. And I love to make it because I can throw it together in about 20 minutes.

The Prince and Princess fashion show

Grandma Chalmers is always coming up with the funnest stuff for her grandkids. My mom has made a bunch of Prince and Princess costumes to go into her dress-up box. So on Sunday she organized a fashion show with all the kids in their new costumes. The kids absolutely loved it. They each got to come down the stairs and show off their costume as we clapped for them. What a fun night!!!

Great way to get the kids eating!!

I have found a little incentive that has really helped my kids eat so much better. We went to the library and checked out the book "the very hungry little caterpillar and read it. and then I made these little caterpillars out of craft foam. So every time they try something new or eat all thier food they get to add a little circle to their caterpillar. My kids have absolutely loved it, and I can't believe how much better they have been eating!!

UFC in Florida

Here was the rental car they gave us. We had a good laugh when we saw the car.

We had such a fun trip in Florida!! My sisters were able to fly out with me, which was great cause we have never taken a trip together without the kids. We went shopping and had lunch, and went and saw Twilight.....Which for the record I am in love with!!! Anyway we just laughed together and talked, the things that sister love to do the most.

Here was Derek's first UFC event. I took a ton of pictures of him coming out for the first time, and stepping into the UFC octagon for the first time. Even though the fight didn't end the way he wanted it to, I was so proud of him. He is living out his dream and he worked so hard to get here. The fight ended in the second round. Derek tapped to a shoulder hold. He is anxious to get back in the gym and work even harder. We haven't heard yet when his next fight will be.

Here are my sisters and I at the event. I don't think I have ever been so nervous is my whole life....I just knew how much it meant to Derek, and that is what makes me the most nervous. I had never been to a UFC event before and it was a lot of fun. Except for Dereks fight. :( The fans are absolutely great!!
