Star of the week!!

Kali this week was chosen to be the star of the week in her kindergarten class. She has been talking about this since the beginning of the school year and was so excited when she was finally chosen. We made this poster together that she presented to her class on Monday and it was displayed in the classroom all week. She got the be first in all the lines and call on people in class and all sorts of other things that made her feel special.

Then on Friday Derek and I got to go to her class and tell all about her and play a fun game with the class. I love how excited she was about this fun week!! She is the little star in our family and I am so glad that she has such a wonderful Kindergarten teacher who makes her feel like a star at school... We love you little Chick!!!!!

My Baby.....

For those who know me know that I am absolutely in love with Decorating my house. I love looking through Pottery Barn magazines and getting ideas. Also Derek is never home right now and so this has kind of become my hobby and my "baby."

So I have done some new things that I wanted to post. First off my dad built this mirror for me two years ago and I originally painted it black because I had a red wall in this room and didn't want too much red. Well this week I painted the wall back to the house color and so of course I had to paint the mirror red which I absolutely think turned out adorable. It should have been red from the beginning.
Then next Corey got this awesome chair for me from my aunts garage sale. I love it so much and is the perfect addition to my family room. Thanks a million Cor!!!

Then last I painted our bathroom which I love how it turned out this is the greatest color blue and makes the bathroom seem so clean and fresh....Kinda random but I wanted to share cause I am so excited with how everything turned out.....

What????

I had to post these pictures...first off cause they are absolutley hillarious, and second to prove Derek can grow a good mustache. Derek decided through the month of March he wasnt going to shave at all so he had a full beard and mustache by the end of the month. Well when I came home from picking up the babysitter last Saturday night he came out of the bathroom with this. I thought I was going to wet my pants....but for the record I didn't. For those who were wondering yes he did shave it all off before our date....Thank heavens!!!

Hey calling all Twilight fans.....

Okay so Twlight has been officially on DVD for one whole week now.....How many times have you watched it already?? I have to say that I have at least 6 times this week. I can't get enough I am in love with the love story and most of all EDWARD!!!!

Spring is here!!

Okay is anyone else as excited as me to have the warm weather and bright skies?? I love spring!! It is the most refreshing month after a long cold, dark winter. I love seeing all the blossoms on the trees and the tulips coming up. And most important I love when it is warm enough that my kids can play outside and run out their energy. I thought this little fruit flower pot a darling idea to do with your kids to bring in the spring.

Date night with Dad!!

This weekend for date night Derek and I decided that we were going to take the girls along with us and spoil them a little. So Derek asked them both if they would got on a date with him, and since their Dad is their favorite person in the whole world they were so excited. I got them all dolled up so that they would feel special for their big night and they loved that. Then we took them to dinner and a movie and then got ice cream afterwards. We had such a fun time and it was so nice to get to focus on the girls and hang out with them. And the most important part was they felt so special...I loved that!!!!

Horray for Nursery!!

I hadn't done a post yet about how happy I am that the twins started nursery. I feel like the hardest part so far about having twins has been church. I would spend my Sundays walking the hallways with the twins in the stroller. It was the only thing that I could do to keep then both happy and also stay with the two of them. So on a positive note I was getting great exercise but by the time I got home I was ready to crash. And it also made my calling super hard and frustrating. Anyway the boys started nursery last month and they love it. They are so good, which is quite refreshing from how hard it was to get the girls to go to nursery. So I had to let everyone know that I think I have survived the hardest part of twins!!! Hooray for Nursery!!!!

Dominic our little "Ham Bone"

Fun with Playdough

I love playdough. It is the perfect thing to get out when you can tell that your kids are getting a little bored. My girls absolutely love it and they make all sorts of cute things. Plus it is so cheap!!!

Caaaa

We got the boys these little coups for the summer since they loves cars so much, and it was a total hit they have been playing in the non-stop. It is so cute to hear their little voices saying "caaaa, caaaa" they are so adorable!!! I think we scored with this one.

The laundry fairy

So I have been thinking a lot lately about the Laundry fairy...especially because I hate doing laundry!!! When I lived at home I would just put my dirty clothes in the laundry hamper and then they would jut appear on my bed downstairs clean and folded. I never ever even had to think about laundry because the laundry fairy would always come and take care of things. Well for some reason since I have been married the laundry fairy didn't follow me to my house.....which has left me in charge of laundry. So I think what has dawned on me is that maybe I am the laundry fairy in my house. What a bummer!!!
....Thanks Mom for letting me believe that their was a laundry fairy. You are the greatest!!

My little helper!!

Little Lexi has just become my little helper lately. She is always wanting to do things to help around the house and help me out with the buddies. This is a picture of her doing the dishes, which for some silly reason she thinks is the greatest thing in the world.....I just hope she still feels that way when she is a teenager. She has just become my little helper and buddy. I love being a mom it is the greatest thing in the whole world!!!!

The yummiest bread of all time!!!

Last week my sister and I went to my moms Enrichment meeting with her and discovered Pantry Secrets. I have always loved cooking and trying new things and new recipies. Well I have to say that this one "takes the cake." It is the yummiest dough I have ever made and the same dough makes pizza crust, bread, scones, rolls, french bread....Pretty much whatever you want to. I just love this cause I used to have a different recipie for each one of these and now you can make one batch of dough and make various things. I am so excited about this!!! I have already made pizza twice, bread, a strawberry cream cheese braid, cinnamon twists, calzones......My family has abolutely thought each thing turned out fabulous. And I have to say that the recipie is fool proof.. So check out the website and you can either do a party and have the lady come and teach it to you or check out the blog and learn tips on your own....Have fun cooking!!!

Perfect night for roasting marshmellows

Last year for Mothers day Derek got me this great fire pit which we absolutely love to use. So of course with the weather so nice last week we had to pull it out and roast some marshmellows.

I think it is the funnest way to do something fun as a family without having to leave home.
Kali and Lexi love hanging out and roasting marshmellows and telling stories....except the story dad told last year about the monster who loved to eat little girls feet.....Lexi still gets scared to fall asleep sometimes cause she thinks a monster is coming for her feet.. :)

I am just so glad that things are finnally warming up a little bit, we are taking advantage of every opportunity to be outside.

What a fabulous time!!!
